Celebrating 10 Years as Part of WEC Group

This month marks an important milestone for HTA Group as we celebrate 10 years as part of WEC Group. Since joining the group, we have continued to strengthen our position as one of the UK’s leading subcontract manufacturing companies, investing heavily in new technology, expanding our capabilities and developing the next generation of skilled engineers.

Established in 1973, HTA Group has built a strong reputation for supplying high-quality laser cut parts, precision sheet metal components and fabricated assemblies to customers across a wide range of industries. Operating from our 90,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Coventry, we continue to provide a comprehensive range of subcontract manufacturing services including laser cutting, CNC punching, CNC folding, fabrication, welding, painting and assembly.

Over the last decade with WEC Group, we have made significant investments to ensure we remain at the forefront of UK manufacturing. One of the most notable additions has been the development of our advanced in-house powder coating facility. Equipped with the latest automation technology, the plant allows us to provide high-quality, cost-effective powder coating services for industries nationwide while supporting a more environmentally friendly manufacturing process.

We have also continued to invest in the latest laser cutting technology to increase efficiency and capacity. This includes the installation of a new 12kW Trumpf Fibre Laser in 2024, followed by a 24kW Fibre Laser investment in 2026, further strengthening our manufacturing capabilities and allowing us to deliver even greater service levels to our customers.

Alongside investment in machinery and facilities, we are equally committed to investing in people. In recent years, we introduced dedicated apprentice training areas at HTA Group to help tackle the industry skills gap and support the development of future welders and fabricators.

Throughout the past 10 years, we have also continued to strengthen relationships across the manufacturing industry by exhibiting at major trade shows including Subcon and Southern Manufacturing and Electronics.
