Welcoming New 2026 Welding Apprentices in Coventry

We’re pleased to welcome our new 2026 welding apprentices to HTA Group in Coventry as they begin their engineering careers with us.

Starting an apprenticeship is an exciting step, and over the next four years our new apprentices will gain hands-on experience at HTA while developing the practical skills and knowledge they need to build a career in welding and engineering.

As part of WEC Group, our apprentices are part of the WEC Group Engineering Academy, which was established in 2006. The Academy has been helping young people develop their engineering skills for 20 years and provides a combination of practical experience and technical training.

Welding is a hands-on career, so our apprentices will spend plenty of time learning on the job, working alongside experienced members of our team and getting involved in real engineering projects.

They will also benefit from the wider expertise of the Engineering Academy. The Academy is one of only a few TWI (The Welding Institute) certified welder training centres in the North West, while our Training and Development Manager is a CSWIP certified welder instructor and examiner. This means our apprentices can develop their skills to high industry standards from the start of their careers.

We’re looking forward to seeing our new apprentices develop over the next four years, gain confidence in their skills and become an important part of the HTA team.
