HTA Commissions Fully Automated Laser Cutting System

HTA has recently completed the commissioning of a brand new, fully automated laser cutting system.

This is the most advanced Trumpf laser cutting system in the world and increases our capacity to over 1000Hrs per week.

The system consists of two TRUMPF TruLaser 5040 Brightline Fiber machines, linked to a TruStore 3040 material store, and SortMaster material handling system for the safe removal of finished parts.

The new machines are capable of processing materials up to 4000mm x 2000mm in size and in thicknesses of up to; Mild Steel 25mm, Stainless Steel 25mm, Aluminium 25mm, Copper 10mm and Brass 10mm.

Adam Thomas, Managing Director sais: "We are proud to be able to demonstrate to our customers that we are still leading the way with investment in new technology. With our largest single investment we now have the benefit of Fiber Laser Technology which is capable of cutting up to 5x faster and with a higher quality laser edge.

"It is also more environmentally friendly using 30% less power than CO2 lasers. Adding full automation increases efficiency and safety as well as eliminating marking and damage that can occur during manual handling."
